What is KAIRE?
Kentuckiana Air Education (KAIRE) is the Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District’s community outreach and education program. We work to enhance the quality of life for Kentuckiana residents by helping you make air-friendly choices on a daily basis.
KAIRE was established in 2001 to educate the public about the benefits of clean air, with an emphasis on voluntary steps individuals can take to make a difference in the fight against air pollution.
Because KAIRE is managed by people who live and work in Kentuckiana, we are uniquely aware of the challenges that air pollution presents to our community.
